Essex/Hertfordshire GP Swiss Pairs

Today’s Swiss Pairs event comprises seven 7-board rounds,
and is scored on a current-round basis, i.e. your opponents
for each round are determined by your overall score at the
end of the round just completed. Your next-round opponents
are notified via your Bridgemate. Results and assignments
will be uploaded to the Bridgemate app.

There is a 45-minute break for refreshments after three
matches. Tea and coffee and bottled drinking water will be
provided free of charge from 12.00. The Sports Centre
cafeteria will be open between 11am and 4pm for tea,
coffee, sandwiches, and a range of hot food.

Each board is match-pointed across the field, and each
pair’s percentage for the seven boards is converted into VPs
using the scale below.

Level 4 systems may be employed. Green points at the rate
of 0.25 per match won and 0.13 per match drawn, plus
ranking points, will be direct-credited.
